CFD Analysis of the Heat Transfer and Fluid Flow Characteristics Using the Rectangular Rib Attached to the Fin Surface in a Solar Air Heater

چکیده
This study discussed the effect of ribbed fin, which was suggested by authors, on enhancement heat transfer and flow characteristics fluid in a solar air heater. The fin has rectangular rib at base side surfaces fin. Thus, it can increase coefficient field heater as well extend area. simulation performed with various Reynolds numbers, relative heights, pitches rib. presence enhances performance 3.497 times over smooth However, addition also increases pressure drop. thermo-hydraulic performance, considers both drop increase, discussed. Furthermore, this developed correlations for Nusselt number friction factor function geometric condition number. accurately predicted mean absolute percent errors 4.24%, 4.53%, 7.33%, respectively.
